Movantis Adds Stellar Network to Cross-Border Payment Rails
Movantis announced a Stellar network integration at Meridian 2026 in Lisbon, beginning with USDC settlement for U.S.-to-El Salvador transfers.
Movantis has integrated the Stellar blockchain network into its multi-rail payments infrastructure, the company announced Tuesday at Meridian 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal. The move expands the firm's capacity to route cross-border transactions across multiple settlement channels simultaneously.
The initial deployment focuses on USDC-denominated settlement for payment flows originating in the United States and destined for El Salvador. That corridor represents a significant remittance market, with millions of dollars transferred between the two countries on a regular basis by immigrant workers and families.

By adding Stellar to its existing rail network, Movantis positions itself to offer faster settlement times and lower transaction costs compared with traditional correspondent-banking channels. The Stellar network is designed specifically for cross-border value transfer and supports the USDC stablecoin issued by Circle, which eliminates foreign-exchange volatility risk on the settlement leg of each transaction.
The announcement at Meridian 2026 — an annual gathering centered on the Stellar ecosystem — signals broader industry momentum toward blockchain-based infrastructure for retail and commercial remittances. Movantis did not disclose financial terms of the integration or projected transaction volumes at the time of the announcement.
